Mar de Llums de Nadal seeks to bring the joy of Christmas to all social realities. The priority of the event is to involve the neighborhood in which it is carried out and thus share the joy of these special days. Therefore, during the first days, Decembre 1 and 2, the residents and families of the Raval were able to visit Mar de Llums de Nadal free of charge.
Moreover, three organizations collaborate in the project. They are a fundamental part of the experience since they provide the harmony and necessary accompaniment to create a dreamy ambience.
Live music beats daily in the Museu Marítim de Barcelona thanks to Vozes, an orquestra formed by children at risk of social exclusión, and the Fundació Catalònia, a choir formed by people with disabilities. In addition, thanks to EMISER, which offers the job opportunities to people with functional diversity. Therefore, those attending the experience have personalized attention throughout the entire route.
